Engagement Party and Plan A Vacation is growing.

Well since my last post (Back to work - July 14th) we have been fairly busy.

I had a Wine Festival Board meeting at Pellar Estates.  Pellar is really a beautiful winery.  Right beside it is Three Sisters Winery being built.  It looks amazing as well.  While we were in the meeting man did it rain hard.  This summer I have been loving the rain every 2 or 3 days, because it is mother nature watering the hopyard for me.

On Friday night we had an engagement party for Dustin and Leeann at the Hernder's house.  The party was attended by family on both sides and friends of Dustin's and Leeann's.  The party was very nice, great food, great drinks and everyone had a great time. We missed Rebecca, wish she was there.

The next morning Karen, Sirena, Rob, Josh (Rob's friend) and I went to the trailer.  We had fun watching the city slickers (Rob and Josh) building a fire and enjoying the peace and quiet.  Sirena had fun with her Uncle Rob.

We had a massive Yahtzee tournament which I won as well.
Sunday I drove Rob and Josh to the Burlington Go Train and stopped in at Brant City Cycle to buy some bike shorts.  I want to ride my bike more often but needed the shorts so my ass wasn't so damn sore.

Got back to the trailer and Dustin and LeeAnn were there to pick up Sirena.  We had a nice meal and they left after supper.  Karen and I stayed over night and came home the next day early because Karen had trouble connecting to the internet at the trailer.

Tuesday I was back at work and it was a very quiet week.

Karen is really starting to get her business pumping.  We are preparing for her new assistant Margo to come over to work and bought a new desk at Ikea.  This desk will be able to expand once Dustin, LeeAnn and Sirena move out.  When that happens the large bedroom will be converted into a larger office.

This weekend we are going back up to the trailer and Marc and Lori are also coming up.  Should be a fun time.

Back to work

Another week under the belt for the Summer of 2014.
This week was a bit harder than most.  The week you go back to work is always hard after a vacation.

Last week I was back at it and not much really happened.  We finished planting the Hop Yard on Friday (finally), hired another guy for the brewery (he looks like a great guy) and had a meeting about my future potential at work (yawn).

The pool was acting up and I taught Dustin how to operate the salt machine and what to do to make the water sparkle.  He is a quick learning.  The pool does have a slow leak and I am not sure where it is.  Bastard.

Sirena is getting big.  She is now fully turned the corner from toddler to little girl.  She is a sweet heart.

Karen and I went to the trailer on Friday night.  Stopped at the pub for fish and chips and a jug of beer.  It was good.  We then went and opened the trailer.  Gil next door cut our grass again.  Good Guy.
YUM

Saturday Marc and Lori came up and stayed the night.  We did the usual of drinking tons of wine, eating some great food and laughing our asses off.

They left the next day around lunch time and Karen and I vegged until we finally got up and went home to get ready for my brother-in-law's surprise retirement party.  It was a nice party and Ron had a great time.

Also last week our satellite system broke down.  Guess we need to look at changing or fixing.

Karen and I brainstormed some ideas for Plan A Vacation.  I am really starting to get excited about some of the possibilities and opportunities that I believe are right in front of us.
